Stretch Goal Survey & Local Pick-Up Locations

Greetings, backers! After 2 weeks, we are at 238% of our initial funding goal. We are steadily approaching our next milestone of reserving 500 games. (We currently have about 375 reserved!) Anything can happen, but it looks like we are on track to reach the next level of funding.
We are seeing a good stream of new backers every day, thanks to everyone who is sharing the campaign. Please continue to share! Also, we want to give a shoutout to Bower's Game Corner for the critique of our Kickstarter page yesterday. We got a "B+" and also a few ideas about how to make the campaign page better. We've already implemented some of them.
"Gift Certificates" for 2022
Christmas is THIS WEEKEND! If you'd like to pre-gift "Bah! Humbug!" for Christmas 2022, remember that after backing the project, you can access a printable gift sheet, informing the recipient that they will receive the game in 2023. Here's the link to those gift sheets.
Stretch Goals

Help us decide! Some backers have said our original stretch goals aren't very exciting. And we're listening! Please tell us which stretch goals are most important to you by taking a quick survey, here. This will help us prioritize improvements to the game.

A minor correction. Please note that there was an oversight in our original description of the $29 pledge level. Without any stretch goals unlocked, this pledge level will include the printed rulebook with all 13+ games. But it will not be a spiral-bound rulebook. It will be a saddle-stitched rulebook (like most modern game rulebooks.) If we reach a higher funding level, we can investigate spiral binding and other stretch goals. We were unable to edit the description of this pledge level on Kickstarter once we launched, so the error is stuck there. We apologize for any confusion this has caused.
New Pick-Up Locations in Ontario, Canada
We are now offering local pick-up as an option for backers in Ontario, Canada! This should greatly reduce shipping costs for those backers. Thank you to 401 Games, who has offered to receive games for backer pick-up at both of their locations:

HOW TO SIGN UP. To take advantage of local pick-up, make sure you have pledged at the $29 (1 copy) or $51 (2 copy) level. When we email you after the campaign to confirm your address, you can sign up for local pick-up. Then you will be able to pay a small handling fee and select your preferred pick-up location. We'll notify you when games have shipped to the store, and when they are ready to pick up. (This will be a similar process for any pick-up locations we add in the future.)
Other Pick-Up Locations?
We have reached out to a few stores in the Sydney and Melbourne areas of Australia. We are also seeking the right stores for the UK and Europe backers. Are you outside the U.S.A. and wanting a local pick-up location and reduced shipping in your area? Please contact us, AND please reach out to your local store to tell them about the campaign. (The best way to reduce shipping is if we already have a retail backer in your country, who can accept extra copies.)
We are still working to make international fulfillment more affordable and convenient for retailers. As a small publisher, this is a challenge, since these numbers usually start to make more sense at thousands of copies, not hundreds. But we will continue to make progress, and keep you posted.

First Week: 250+ games and backers, shipping update

WE'RE HALFWAY TO 500 GAMES!
Hello everyone! It's been 1 week since we launched the Bah! Humbug! campaign, and we already have 250 backers. Together, these backers have reserved more than 265 games! We're especially happy to report that 4 retailers have reserved copies for their stores. Your support means a lot to us.
With these numbers, we are halfway to our goal of being able to bulk-manufacture our game (minimum order of 500), which is our next Stretch Goal. Meeting this goal would mean, for one thing, a sturdier game box! We hope you will keep sharing the campaign so we can keep upgrading the quality of Bah! Humbug! and the 12 games of Christmas.
SHIPPING UPDATES
As we all know, international shipping has become more complicated and expensive since 2020. After a LOT of research and spreadsheet-tinkering over the past week, we've gotten our shipping estimates down as far as we can for now. I'll update them on the campaign page today or tomorrow, but here are the highlights:

For those who have backed at the $2 (Joy to the World) level, I've sent you a personal message with a special deal on your shipping, as a thanks for backing early. If you hurry, you can lock-in this price by upgrading your pledge this week.

For everyone else following the project: I'll update the estimated shipping rates on the page.
If you are a non-US backer and are hesitant about these rates for 1 or 2 copies, please message us. I have some volunteers willing to coordinate a small batch of orders in their area (i.e., we can ship multiple copies to them in one box, and they will ship out individual copies in the local mail, or arrange for local pick-up). In some cases, this could take about $5-$10 off the shipping price. If this is something you're open to, and if we have someone in your area who can do this, we can try to match you up with them.
ANOTHER GAME REVEALED: "THE GIVING SPIRIT"
This week, the folks at Board Game Gumbo streamed a demo round of one of the games in the collection: Evan Halbert's The Giving Spirit. This trick-taking game has a couple ways to "shoot the moon," and there's a "special delivery" at the end of each round to keep things interesting. This is just one of the 12 new games in the collection, and we'll be sharing more games over the course of the campaign. Check out the video here.

From now through the end of the campaign, we'll be sharing details about some of the other games you can play with cards and pieces in the Bah! Humbug! box. Today, we're sharing Dress the Mantel by David Waldman.

Dress the Mantel
by David Waldman
Dress the Mantel is a competitive card-layering game with a sneaky "one for you, one for me" way of giving and receiving cards. Score points by tucking cards and chaining together similar types of decorations along your mantel. Each decoration (oranges, pinecones, jingle bells, poinsettias, and mistletoe) has a different way of scoring. Win by being the player with the cleverest arrangement (the most points) by the time the cards run out.
Setup: Give each player 1 Clock card. Shuffle all the Wreath cards (#1-12) and place them face-down in the center. Choose a first player and give them the wooden pawn.
On Your Turn...
1. Draw 2 cards. Look at both of them.
2. Offer the next player "one for you," (offer them 1 card, face-up), and hold back "one for me" (1 card held near you, face down). They may accept your face-up gift, OR take their chances and choose what you have hidden in your hand.
3. Simultaneously, each player takes their card and tucks it within their own mantel, trying to maximize their score (while keeping an eye on the other mantel(s), too.)
4. Pass the pawn to the next player.
Game End: Repeat until all the cards are gone. Then tally your scores to determine the winner.
For a longer game, you can play 3 times in a row, using cards and tokens to track your score. You can also play in teams of 2 vs. 2, and we're working on a solo mode as well.
